The COVID-19 pandemic has brought unprecedented deaths, fear, and disruption to lives, businesses, and schools not witnessed in recent history all around the world. Nigeria however, is not left alone. Following that, school operations and activities have remained suspended for the fourth month running. The impact and consequences are obvious.

As we await the resumption date and prepare for the eventual opening of schools for activities, we are working closely with the relevant health agencies and the National Association of Proprietors of Private Schools of Nigeria (NAPPS) on how to ensure a smooth and safe take-off.  Before resumption, we will be embarking on enhanced health measures including disinfecting and decontamination of all our classrooms, offices, toilets, and assembly hall/playing grounds as the well-being and health of our Stars is our utmost concern and priority.

Other protocols to be put in place for the safety of our Stars and dedicated teaching and non-teaching staff will be advised as time goes on.  Notwithstanding the lockdown on school activities, the School Administrator’s lines are available to take calls.  Parents’ WhatsApp group platform is opened as well.

As we go forward, we will keep you updated and always value your questions and feedback. Please stay safe and ensure strict compliance with all health advisory by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC).

Learn at Home

Due to global COVID-19 pandemic challenges that have kept schools on lockdown since resumption for another session, Shining Stars Schools, Ifo has embarked on a long-distance learning strategy titled “Learn at Home“.  This, however, has helped our Stars stayed abreast of their studies and educational goals, and ambition. The program is still ongoing till lockdown is over.

We use this medium to appeal and encourage our esteemed parents to support and be fully involved in this long-distance learning – Learn at Home strategy by ensuring that all classwork and assignments are well supervised and monitored.
